Take on the Blinds alongside other players while competing for the same shared pool of cards!

This is an unofficial multiplayer mod for Balatro. You must own and install the original Windows PC version of Balatro. This download does not include the base game, Balatro.exe, original game assets, or save files. It is not a standalone game.

How it works

• Shared playing cards: Each round, you receive a random deck from the public pool and return it afterward. Enhancements, modifications, and destroyed cards affect the pool available in later rounds.
• Exclusive Jokers: Each Joker is exclusive. Once another player takes one, you cannot obtain it until they sell it.
• Observe and anticipate: Inspect a snapshot of the public pool, work out what other players may be building, and plan your own combinations.
• Survival competition: Face the Small Blind, Big Blind, and Boss Blind in sequence. Reach the target score to advance; fail and you are eliminated.

You do not always need the strongest combo. Avoiding popular Jokers and making use of changes other players leave in the pool can be the key to winning!

Requirements

• Your own installed Windows PC copy of Balatro.
• The latest Windows x64 ZIP from this page.
• An internet connection for multiplayer.
• All players must use the same latest client version.

Lovely, Steamodded, and this multiplayer mod are bundled. You do not need to install Python or install these dependencies separately. Installing the bundled components does not require an additional download; online play requires internet access.

Extract, install, and launch

1. Extract the entire ZIP. Keep BalatroModLauncher.exe, the _internal folder, and the packages folder together. Do not move only the EXE, and do not run it directly inside an archive viewer.
2. Close Balatro, then run BalatroModLauncher.exe.
3. The launcher tries to detect your Steam game folder automatically. If it cannot find it, use Browse and select the installation folder that directly contains the original Balatro.exe. Do not select your save folder or Mods folder.
4. Use the option to install / repair all bundled components.
5. Once all three components are ready, use Launch Game.

The launcher needs write access to your game folder and your current user's Balatro Mods folder. If installation fails, check the selected folder and your write permissions.

Connect to the public server

1. From the game's main menu, open Multiplayer.
2. Select the public server 175.27.230.107 and confirm.
3. TCP port 12345 is already configured, so you normally do not need to edit configuration files. The address 192.168.0.111 is the author's local test server; internet players should not select it.

Play with friends

Create a room and share its code, enter a friend's 4-digit room code, or double-click a room in the public room list. Other players ready up, then the host starts the game.

Updates and troubleshooting

Version mismatch: Everyone should download the latest complete ZIP, run the launcher, install / repair all bundled components, and restart the game.

Game not detected: Browse to the installation folder directly containing the original Balatro.exe.

Launcher will not run: Make sure the entire ZIP has been extracted and the EXE, _internal, and packages remain together.
